Math-This week, we begin rounding to the nearest ten (10).

Reading- We continue learning about cause and effect. We have finished our story about Alvin Ailey.

Writing-Students are free writing about international fair!

Social Studies- This week, students are presenting their countries for international fair!!!

Word Wall-There are no new word wall words for this week!

No tests or quizzes this week!!!!!!!!

What's My Child Learning This Week?

Reading-This week, we focus on cause and effect.

Math-We begin subtraction, differences up to twenty (20). We review problem solving.

Science-We begin learning about characteristics of dinosaurs!

Writing-We are writing our Christmas lists to Santa!

Word Wall: didn't, house, or, they, trip

Tests/Quizzes

• Word Wall quiz Friday, December 11th.
• Addition timed test Thursday, December 10th. Those students who pass with A+ will move on to subtraction timed test beginning next week.

Reminders

• Second grade international fair is next week! Please continue researching and practicing with your child.
• Color's Day this Friday for 5 lps.
