What is My Child Learning This Week?
Math-We continue with multiplication. Students will have a PRACTICE timed multiplication quiz on Wednesday.
Reading-We continue learning an author's purpose for writing. (to persuade, to inform, or to entertain).
Writing-persuasive writing; fact and opinion.
Word Wall-We continue to do various activities to practice phonemic awareness skills such as Guess the Covered Word, Making Words, and Using Words You Know.
Social Studies-We are finishing our unit on Goods and Services.
No tests or quizzes this week! :)
Reminders
- Please return all library books by this Friday, May 22nd. That is the last day to turn in library books.
- Parents, next Thursday, May 28th there will be a summer book sale.
- Next Monday, May 25th is Awards Day for 2B from 8:15 to 9:00 a.m in the Multipurpose Room. Students are allowed to wear nice "colors" clothes. Each student will be give an award. This is a special event and parents are invited! :)
The Wax Museum was a huge success. Parents, thanks for all your help and support! A special thanks to the moms who helped decorate the Multipurpose Room. It looked fantastic! 2B wishes to send a HUGE thanks to those moms! :)
