Reading-This week we review main idea and begin learning how to sequence events from a text.
Writing-We continue writing a nonfiction piece with focus on beginning, middle, and end. Students will also learn how to revise and edit using a checklist.
Math-Problem solving using Pictures, Numbers, and Words. The main focus will be adding doubles and sums of ten.
Social Studies-We begin our unit on Earth and its landforms.
Word Wall-We focus on homophones: there, their, they're, and would. Only four words this week.
Tests/Quizzes
- Word Wall quiz Friday, October 23rd.
- Math problem solving test Friday, October 23rd.
- Math skip counting quiz Thursday, October 22nd. Students will be assessed on skip counting by 2, 5, and 10.

- Halloween parade is Friday, October 30. Students may dress in costume. Participation is optional.
