What's My Child Learning This Week?
Reading-We are reading Pushing Up the Sky (we will focus on various reading skills); we are also practicing a small play about Mother's Day! :)
Math-We are learning mulitpication facts up to 5.
Writing-Students are free writing about events in their lives.
Science-This week is the science fair! Those students who are participating will present their projects in front of the class.
Word Wall- The words this week focus on Mother's Day: mother, gift, relaxation, flowers, May.
Tests/Quizzes This Week
*Word Wall quiz Friday, May 7th.
*Multiplication timed test Thursday, May 6th. Students will be assessed on facts 0, 1, and 2. They will have three (3) minutes to answer fifteen (15)facts.
Reminders
*Mother's Day celebration is this Friday, May 7th. The celebration will begin at 1:40 p.m in your child's respective classroom. If the location is changed to the MultiPurpose Room, there will be a sign on the classroom door. :)
