What's My Child Learning this Week?

Reading- We continue with the story Click, Clack, Moo Cows That Type. The skill we are focusing on is cause and effect. Every action has a reaction.

Math- We continue with double-digit subtraction with and without regrouping. We integrate this skill with problem solving this week.

Writing- Cursive Writing!

Science-Students are completing a mini unit about the layers of the Earth. This unit will last only a week.

Word Wall: beautiful, family, sale, write, writing. We are focusing also on words that end in y but change to i when -er or -es is added to the end. (e.g. puppy-puppies).

Tests/Quizzes

*Word Wall quiz Friday, January 29th.

*Subtraction timed test Wednesday, January 27th. Students have three (3) minutes to complete thirty (30) problems.

*Double-digit subtraction quiz Friday, January 29th.

Reminders
*Please remember to review all graded papers with your child and return them when done.
*Color's Day this Friday, January 29th for five (5) lempiras.
*Report cards go home this Friday! :)
